   S8   = Super8 and the crisp Single-8

I will update this site continously (last modification: aug 16, 2006)

I like COSINA cameras and own some of them (also with other brandname) . They have a clear functional design, very good lenses and are very reliable. The silent models are made from solid materials: metal frame and covers and so is the weigth (up to 2kg). Lenses up to 85 mm are available. I have not recognize a real weakness. Seldom a motor was out of function due to heavy usage - normal for some other cameras. TTL Lightmeters are working fine. Nearly all silentcameras can check all filmspeeds and have additional +/-aperture correction - fine! You can use also Kodak Ektachrome 64T without any changements. Some models have sync sound connectors for those who needs sound. Silent models with 150° shutter are good forscenes with movements Sound models with 220° shutter for lowligth.......

COSINA has build Super8 cameras also for many other brandnames: (also ROLLEI,  REVUE, PORST, CARENA...)

Standard silent models needs PX14 for lightmetering - not with the new Adams64 feature!

similar models with minor differences:

SSL 748  lens 1.7 /8-64mm. (no timer, no ext.battery)

SSL 746  lens 1.7 /8-48mm. (without: timer, Sync, ext. battery)

Very interesting for professionals is a lowlight camera for using the filmmagazin SUPERMAG 400. This contains 400ft (for 20min.) filmmaterial in one magazin. Following COSINA MSXL or MS cameras are usable with this fantastic magazin!

...to use the new Kodak Ektachrome 64T you need a modified Adams64 MAGIC SOUND camera!

If you look into this eye: - be proud! :  This is one of the best of these fine Super8 lenses ever made !  like Angenieux, Schneider,  ..... Canon

...one of the secret favorites of my collection: an unbeleavable sharp lens in a solid made movie camera: the 7613 macro

   sharp in all areas - well coloured balanced -  giant loooooong - 13x zooom 1.7/6.5mm-85mm  unfortunately very rare.....

professional 7613 macro  13x zoom! shutter opening: 152° !  fps 1 / 18 /24 /48, timer 3 min.up to 6 fps, fade,  ASA 25 up to 250 with manual correction and aperture auto/manual , BLC, sockets: flash, sync/sound 4p/impuls, cable release, remotecontrol, ext.Batter 6V, 4 x AA 1.5V, lightmeterbattery 2.6V (not necessary with Adams64 feature!)
